Chance the Rapper Remains Uniquely Him with His Magnificent World Coloring Tour

Chance the Rapper is a unique enigma in the music industry. He remains an independent artist whose individuality is propelling him up record charts. His latest album, “Coloring Book” taunts the lines between rap, and the typically perceived contrasting genre of gospel. The latest addition to this intriguing enigma of Chance the Rapper is his ‘Magnificent Coloring World Tour’.

The tour hit Houston Texas' Revention Music Center on Saturday, October 15th and was uniquely Chance. The artist controlled the stage with a lightheartedness that seemed true to him as he danced across the floor and brought to life the simplicity of younger days. With a stage full of moving, talking, singing, and praising puppets, Chance lured his audience into his creation. This world that he created, went against all that is normally expected at a rap concert. Instead, his show was presented in a very Broadway Musical like fashion. A musical that evoked an energy in fans that I’d never seen. Regardless of their opinions on this unique presentation, fans loved the show and didn’t miss a beat as they rapped along to fan favorites such as “Same Drugs” and “Angels”.

While the songs were loved, Chance gave fans more than just great music. With words of wisdom, the humble kid from Chicago touched hearts with this show. During the performance of “Blessings” he slowed down the music to speak to the audience and spread a message of hope, “Did you know that your blessing ain’t at no show, ain’t on no album, ain’t made of flesh, but it’s coming… Did you know that your blessing ain’t on my mixtape, ain’t at my show, is not of this world... but it’s coming...” These words spoke to the audience’s heart! From his words, we could see the purpose for Chance the Rapper above and beyond the melodies he may put together for his next great album. Above the albums and songs, Chancellor Bennett, is an artist who uses his platform to acknowledge his love for God and spread a message of hope.

Don’t miss out on this unique enigma of Change the Rapper and his ‘Magnificent Coloring World Tour’.
