I was able to check out an advance screening of the new movie “When the Game Stands Tall” & let me just say it was…. ahhhmaazing!
This movie took my emotions through peaks & valleys. 15 minutes in & I was already crying, shortly after I was rooting “Go Spartans”, & by the end I realized this wasn’t just a movie about football, this was a movie about life.
The movie “When the Game Stands Tall” is based on the true story of Coach Bob Ladouceur & his high school football team the De La Salle Spartans. Coach Ladouceur led the Spartans to a 151 -game winning streak. This is a record greater than all records held by any American sports team.
This film depicts how one man uplifted & transformed a group of boys into a brotherhood of men. It speaks volumes of Coach Ladouceur who’s coaching taught life lessons standing on Christian values, & who’s life lessons helped to turn defeats into victories.
“When the Game Stands Tall” will take you on a journey where you are no longer just watching the film, instead you’re apart of the game. You’ll cheer, oh & ahhh, & your heart will race with the same intensity reminiscent of your own game days. Missed catches will make you mad and big hits will excite you because these games start to matter. And, before the movie comes to a close you realize you’re the fan.. this is your school.. THIS.. IS YOUR TEAM.
“When the Game Stands Tall” is a must see. Be prepared to shed tears with your team, laugh with your team, and root for your team. GO SPARTANS!
“When the Game Stands Tall” hits theatres Friday, August 22.
