Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and Tyga - An Inside Look at the Between the Sheets Tour
Can we say Hashtag MCM… Chris Brown, ‘Mr. Steal Yo’ Girl’ (Trey Songz), and Tyga have taken over several timelines for Man Crush Mondays (#MCM). Now they’ve combined their sex appeal to take over arenas for the Between the Sheets Tour. The tour hit Cincinnati, OH on Saturday February 28th. With the tour being named ‘Between the Sheets’ I’m sure all of you arewondering “Did they lay it down?” Yaaaaassss Lawd!
ACT I was the tease... The concert started off with Tyga and honestly, I didn’t think anyone was checking for him on this tour. However, Tyga quickly reminded us why he’s relevant outside of the Kylie Jenner phenomenon. He hit the stage and went straight into the TURN UP! Starting off with “Versace, Versace, I brought that shit back, all these niggas they copy.” Ayeeeee… The turn up didn’t end there. Tyga continued to hype the fans with the songs Switch Lanes, Rack City, and Faded. The audience hit the ultimate turn up when Tyga headed off stage and into the crowd to rap the lyrics of Lap Dance. Tyga turned the arena straight into the club with the entire crowd rocking. He left me thinking “Dang, I had forgot how many hits Tyga has!”
ACT II got hot & heavy... Trey Songz dimmed the lights and slowed it down just like a true R&B artist. Wooing the ladies with his harmonies, beautiful runs, and the infamous smile. Normally I’m used to seeing Trey in smaller venues where it’s literally him, the audience, and his music. However, for this tour Trey has switched it up and added several female dancers to amp up the sexiness. His set featured songs such as Can’t be Friends, Foreign, and Cake. These aren’t my favorite songs & the theatrics of his performance didn't compare to Tyga & Chris, but the fans were still loving them some Trigga!
ACT III lead to the climax... As Chris Brown took the stage the fans were lusting. Let me be clear in saying I’ve never heard an audience cheer as loudly as they did for Chris Brown. From the vocals, to the stage presence, and the choreography Chris Brown performed his @$$ off! The media is consistently dragging Chris through the mud and I personally don’t agree with all of his life decisions (or these jeggings), HOWEVER, this man was born to perform! Chris performed hits such as Love More, Strip, and Came to Do. But, the most impressive aspect of his performance was his dancing. This concert truly displays his undeniable talent. Breezy’s performance even had my friend claiming she was switching over to #teamlightskin.
The best part about this concert is that what I described above was only the first half of the show! Even though the concert was great I am a little salty because a couple nights later at the Atlanta show they bought out Jeezy, Future, T.I, Yo Gotti, R. Kelly & KEITH SWEAT !!! I feel like they played Cincinnati!
